World at Sea

April 18th-22nd & 24th-28th

Mon-Fri each weekday during the Easter Holidays

at The National Maritime Museum, Falmouth

As part of the the Maritime Museum's World at Sea event we are creating an interactive storytelling show with a mission to help save our seas!

Join Detritus of the Deep! A larger than life Showman and King of the sea, on a unique experience which conjures up the wonders of our Cornish oceans. Hear the gentle giant’s coastal adventures and see him reveal the mermaid who holds a heavy heated song of our seas, that needs your help to save it.

The highly visual show see’s Hotch Potch’s own hand made costumes come to life, such as Detritus; a stilt walking character draped head to toe in waste found off the Cornish and Irish seas. He will also tell the story of Silvia the Washed Up Mermaid; bound by and placed on top of a pile of coastal rubbish, hear her song before collecting her gifts for your journey through the National Maritime Museum. Where you can learn all about what you can do for our natural world.
